For the past year or so, I have been creating and trying out different recipes. While not all have turned out as I hoped, the ones listed below are some of my favorites and ones I will brew again.
I have brewed this one a couple of times now. The label is from early 2013, and is pretty basic. The beer turned out really well. It's just a simple Pilsner made with American 2 Row as the base. I used a combination of Columbus, Citra, and Cascade hops. The beer is clear, with a refreshing clean taste. Definitely one of my best.

This was my first attempt at a bitter, and I was very impressed with the results. A bitter is pretty simple and for this one I used American 2 row, a little caramel malt, and honey. For the hops, I used Citra, Willamette, and Fuggles. I really liked it and got a lot of great feedback. Just like a true bitter, it was much better served slightly warmer than other beers.

This is an Irish Red Ale that I did just for fun. My plan was to just do it once to see what it would be like, but it turned out so well that it became a keeper. It has become one of my most popular.
I used a blend of Pale, Munich, and Crystal malts with some Roasted Barley for color. For the hops, I used a mix of Hallertauer and Cascade. |
I really like Imperial IPAs, and I wanted to make one with a reddish color. This turned out almost the way I wanted after the third version. I think I am just about there, and will make one small adjustment the next time I brew this one.
I used my normal base of American 2 row, then some Munich, Cara-Pils and Caramel malt, with a little roasted Barley. For the hops, I used Amarillo, Columbus, and Goldings. |
My wife was getting tired of the hoppy beers I was making and said I should make something different. So I brewed a blond ale. Since it was her idea, I had to put her name on the label.
I used Honey malt, and a combination of Pilsner and American 2 row. With just some Saaz and Citra hops, it made for a clean drinking but nicely balanced beer. |
By now you can see that I really need help with the names. This is an English Pale Ale that is pretty nice. While similar to some others that I have done, it has a little more citrus flavors than the others.
I used mostly American 2 Row with a little Caramel malt, plus a little something different that worked out really well. For the hops I used Citra and Centennial. |
